OSLO MINI Linear Batten Light: low profile for building light into furniture

The OSLO Linear Batten Light comes in its OSLO MINI version, a slim-profile surface fitting available in 0.5 m, 1 m, 1.5 m and 2 m and supplied at 24V. Its selector offers 3000K, 4000K and 6000K, as well as blue, green and red.

Why a low profile matters

In furniture, space is measured in millimetres. A shallow profile goes where a conventional fitting would stick out, and that lets you fix the batten to the back or the edge of a unit without eating into usable space or leaving it on show.

Where the MINI format fits

  • Shelving: a run under each shelf lights the contents of the shelf below.
  • Display cases and stands: light close to what is on display, with the batten hidden behind the edge.
  • Under cabinets: the profile screws to the underside and throws light downwards.
  • Recesses and niches: shallow spaces where no other fitting will go.

Mounting onto furniture

The OSLO MINI is fixed with screws onto the face of the unit, aligned with the edge. Working at 24V, the wiring that runs through the furniture is low voltage. It is worth deciding before installation where the supply comes in and how it passes between modules, because that route determines the final position.

White or colour, depending on the use

To light contents you use the white temperatures: 3000K warm, 4000K neutral and 6000K cool. The blue, green and red versions are kept for a specific colour effect inside the unit.
