DETROIT Linear Batten Light: white or coloured light in the same 24V profile

The DETROIT Linear Batten Light is a surface fitting with a body in a silver finish, available in lengths of 0.5 m, 1 m, 1.5 m and 2 m and supplied at 24V. Its selector goes beyond the usual whites: as well as 3000K, 4000K and 6000K, it lets you choose monochrome blue, green or red light.

What a run of fixed coloured light is for

A monochrome line of light does not light a space so you can see, it signals. Blue, green and red stand apart instantly from the white around them, so a coloured run works as a visual marker: it identifies a route, marks out an area or picks out a particular element.

Signage and atmosphere

In signage, the key is consistency: the same colour in the same place ends up being read without thinking. For atmosphere, colour gives character to a surface or a piece of furniture without adding more fittings. And since the three white temperatures are included, you can combine runs of functional white light with coloured runs in the same 24V installation.
