Some ceilings simply will not take an opening. Exposed concrete, wood or an already installed suspended ceiling force you to solve the lighting from the outside. The RICARDO Linear Batten Light is a surface fitting that is fixed flush to the ceiling without cutting any opening at all.

Mechanical fixing onto the existing structure

RICARDO is held in place by mechanical fixing, screwed to the substrate. Before installing, it is worth identifying the ceiling material and choosing the right screws: concrete and wood take direct anchoring, while a suspended ceiling means locating the structure or the solid point where the fitting can bear. You also need to plan where the supply cable comes out for each section.

Accessible maintenance without opening the ceiling

Because the fitting sits on the outside, any later check is done from below, without removing panels or touching the finish. That is a practical advantage on delicate ceilings or exposed finishes.

The finish is chosen per reference, so the body can blend with the colour of the ceiling or stand out against it. Dimming is set by the driver: non-dimmable, DALI-2, PUSH or 1-10V.

Yes. It is a surface batten: it screws to the ceiling with the fixing suited to the material, with no need to cut an opening.

Does anything have to be dismantled for maintenance?

No. The fitting stays accessible from below and any check is done without opening the ceiling.

Does it work on an already installed suspended ceiling?

Yes, surface mounted onto it. You only need to locate the solid fixing point and plan for the supply outlet.
