NEW YORK Linear Batten Light: surface LED at 230V wired straight to the mains

The NEW YORK Linear Batten Light is a linear fitting for surface mounting: it screws directly onto the surface and connects to the mains at 230V, with no external power supply. It is available in white and silver finishes, in lengths of 0.44 m, 0.94 m, 1.44 m and 1.94 m, with an IP54 protection rating.

What changes when the batten runs at 230V

Running at mains voltage, the NEW YORK is wired like any conventional fitting: live, neutral and earth from the lighting circuit. There is no need to set aside space for a transformer or to decide where to house it, and the number of components in the installation drops. It is the only batten in this family supplied at 230V: low voltage always calls for an intermediate unit.

Surface mounting and joining sections

Fixing is done with screws onto the ceiling or wall, with the profile seated and aligned. By combining the four lengths you can chain consecutive sections together until you cover the distance you need, allowing for the electrical supply to each unit.
