48V LED Strips: RGBIC, Digital, RGBW, COB, SMD and Reels of 5m, 10m or More

48V LED strips are the definitive professional choice when you need long lighting runs with maximum stability, no voltage drop and superior performance. They operate at 48 volts DC, which dramatically reduces voltage drop over long distances and improves light uniformity. In this category you will find RGBIC, digital, RGBW, COB and SMD LED strips, available in 5-metre, 10-metre and even longer reel formats, ready to create spectacular installations.

48V LED Strips: Performance for Long Runs

The main advantage of 48V LED strips is their ability to maintain a completely uniform luminous flux over runs of up to 20 or 30 metres fed from a single end, with no need for amplifiers. They are the preferred choice for professional, architectural, commercial or industrial projects where light quality, low thermal stress and long-term reliability are critical.

RGBIC, Digital and RGBW LED Strip: Colour and Advanced Control

The 48V multimedia options take decorative and spectacular lighting to the next level. With 48V RGBW LED strips you get millions of colours together with a high-brightness pure white channel (warm or neutral). Meanwhile, digital and RGBIC LED strips incorporate integrated circuits (ICs) that allow each section to be controlled independently, creating dynamic effects, colour chases, gradients and fluid animations over many metres without signal loss.

COB LED Strip: Continuous Light Line Without Hotspots

The 48V COB LED strip (Chip On Board) integrates hundreds of very small chips under a uniform phosphor layer, completely eliminating visible hotspots. The result is a continuous and homogeneous line of light, ideal for the highest-quality indirect lighting: ceiling coves, integrated aluminium profiles or commercial furniture where a flawless premium finish is required.

SMD LED Strip: The Classic for Maximum Performance

The SMD LED strip is the trusted traditional format, based on surface-mounted diodes (SMD) such as SMD 2835 or SMD 5050. They offer an excellent balance between cost and luminous efficiency, available in multiple LED densities per metre to precisely match any project lighting requirement.

10M LED Strips or More: The Industrial Format for Large Projects

Although we stock the classic 5-metre reels, 48V technology excels in its formats of 10-metre, 15-metre, 20-metre or longer reels. These industrial formats are designed for large surfaces, complete perimeters and retail projects, allowing installers to deploy continuous lines of light quickly, cleanly and with a single electrical connection point.

Frequently Asked Questions about 48V LED Strips

Why choose a 48V LED strip instead of a 24V one?

The 48V LED strip is the technical evolution for demanding linear projects. By doubling the voltage, it halves the current for the same power. This allows runs twice as long (up to 20-30 metres) without visible loss of brightness, generates less internal heat in the PCB (extending its service life) and requires much thinner installation wiring sections.

What is the difference between RGB, RGBW and RGBIC/Digital LED strips?

In a traditional RGB strip, all the LEDs change to the same colour simultaneously. The RGBW strip adds a dedicated white chip to achieve pastel tones and real quality white light. RGBIC or Digital strips include addressable control chips, allowing different parts of the strip to display different colours at the same time, achieving movement effects, waves and colour chases.

What is a 48V COB LED strip used for?

The COB LED strip provides a continuous and diffused beam of light, eliminating the effect of individual “hotspots” or “point lights”. It is the perfect solution for installing inside shallow aluminium profiles, cove lighting where the strip reflects on bright surfaces, or any application where the visual aesthetic of the light line must be perfect.

Can 48V LED strips be cut with the same precision as 24V ones?

Generally, when working at higher voltage, the internal series circuits are longer, which means the cutting distance or section (the marked points for cutting with scissors) is greater in 48V strips (usually ranging from 10 to 20 cm depending on the model) compared to the usual 5 or 10 cm in 24V.

How many 10M reels of 48V can be connected in series?

Thanks to the low voltage drop of 48V, you can connect continuous runs of 15 to 20 metres (equivalent to joining two 10-metre reels) fed from a single end without loss of brightness. For longer runs, simply inject power in parallel from the same source at the other end, eliminating the need to install intermediate amplifiers.
