ALASKA Linear Submersible Profile: IP68 and a continuous COB line of light

The ALASKA Linear Submersible Profile is an anodised aluminium profile rated IP68, supplied at 12V and fitted with COB LED. It is available in 1 / 1.5 and 2 m and in 2800K, 4000K and 6000K: the option for white lines of light that stay underwater permanently.

What IP68 means in a submerged installation

IP68 is the rating that corresponds to continuous immersion, not to mere splashing. That is why the ALASKA is intended for swimming pools, fountains and water features, where the fitting lives inside the basin and is not taken out. The anodised aluminium body brings a treated surface and heat dissipation through the metal itself.

Why COB leaves no visible dots

A point-source LED is seen as a row of bright dots, and underwater that effect is heightened because the water scatters each dot separately. COB groups the emitters into a continuous surface and the profile gives out a uniform line, with no breaks or graininess, tracing the perimeter cleanly.
